NLC threaten Indefinite Strike on starting July 15th

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) in Abia State have issued a final ultimatum to the state government, threatening an indefinite strike starting July 15, 2024, over non-payment of the N30,000 minimum wage and N35,000 palliative award. Despite previous promises by Governor Alex Otti, the state government has not addressed the workers’ demands. This decision follows a general meeting and a previously expired 14-day ultimatum.
