A staff member of the bank who interacted with the deceased verified that he had hastily withdrawn the money, citing illness and the need for urgent medical attention.

The Taraba State Police Public Relations Officer, Usman Abdullahi, confirmed the incident, stating that upon receiving the report, the police dispatched officers to the scene to facilitate the removal of the deceased’s body.

“I personally dispatched policemen to the location upon receiving the report. However, I’m currently unable to provide further details as I’ve been occupied with recruitment exercises,” Mr. Abdullahi stated.
