The Southern zone of the Association of Orphanages and Homes Operators in Nigeria has said that the marriage between afrobeat star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, and his wife, Chioma, will be successful.
The orphanage home operators stated this in a statement issued on their behalf on Monday by Chief Godson Akpuluonu, the vice president of the association.
He said that God would keep Davido and Chioma as a happy couple, forever.
Insisting that those wishing the afrobeat start and his wife bad would be disappointed because, Davido is a kind man who had used his talent to help people, especially the less privileged in the society.
The statement reads in part, “Davido’s marriage with Chioma will not crash. Those wishing it to fail will be disappointed. David Adeleke (Davido) is a kind man. He is the patron of our association, the Association of Orphanages and Homes Operators in Nigeria. Everybody knows what he does for us every year.
“The Association of Orphanages and Homes Operators in Nigeria is praying for him and his wife. The millions of children, especially the ones in the orphanages that he takes care of are praying for him and his wife. Naysayers should take the back seat because this marriage will not crash. It will be successful to the glory of God.
“Davido is a man after God’s heart. Because of his love for humanity and most especially, children in our orphanages, God will sustain this marriage. People should rather pray for the union than wish it to crash. It won’t crash because ASOHON is praying for Davido and Chioma and the children in our orphanages are fasting and praying for him, because they call him daddy.”
“Every year Davido dolls out millions of naira to orphanage homes in Nigeria for the welfare of children who have no parents and homes that are under our care. This is what the government itself refuses to do, but Davido does it annually. We are grateful for his love and benevolence to our orphanages. That is why the children are praying for him.”
Akpuluonu, also disclosed that ASOHON’s 2024 summit which will take place between 24 and 26 October in Owerri, Imo State, would seek ways for the government to partner with orphanage home operators in Nigeria through funding and provisions of facilities.
