Joseph Joshua, the Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Taraba State, has voiced his apprehension regarding the disappearance of several vehicles belonging to the ministry. Making his concerns public over the weekend in Jalingo, the state capital, Joshua pledged to institute measures to uncover the circumstances surrounding the missing vehicles.

He disclosed that his office has finalized plans to conduct an investigation into the entire management team of the ministry. Among the vehicles reported missing prior to his tenure are an ambulance, a 504 Peugeot, Toyota Hilux, and a Coaster bus.

Joshua alleged that a former commissioner of the ministry absconded with the 504 Peugeot, while a director took possession of the Toyota Hilux.

Expressing disbelief at the audacity to pilfer government property worth millions of naira, Joshua asserted his determination to succeed in resolving the issue, showing no fear of detractors. Additionally, he lamented the behavior of a director who purportedly left the state without official approval, deeming it a violation of civil service regulations.

Asserting his stance against such infractions, Joshua emphasized his readiness to collaborate with individuals aligned with the administration’s vision, aiming to progress under the leadership of Governor Agbu Kefas.
