Breaking News: Governor Agbu Kefas Appoints Third Batch of Aides

Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas has approved the appointment of a third batch of aides, further expanding his administration team. This new batch includes 573 additional special aides, bringing the total number of appointments to 767. The announcement was made and signed by the Secretary to the Government of the State (SSG), Barrister Gebon Timothy Kataps, in Jalingo, the state capital.

This follows the recent release of a list of 62 and later 133 aides, which had initially included the ex-chairman of Takum Local Government Council, Shiban Tikari. Tikari’s name was later removed after public outcry over his alleged involvement in the abduction and killing of a former member representing Takum One Constituency.

The current list, which is the third part of the governor’s appointments, now totals 767 names. Among the new appointees are notable names like Mr Fred Audu, Kurutsi Yakubu Tuktur, Edward Baraya respectively.
The updated list also has Major General Mohammed T Yunusa, Bello Yero and Timothy Dodo among the appointees Highlighting the governor’s commitment to a diverse and inclusive administration. These appointments reflect Governor Kefas’s dedication to strengthening his team and addressing the needs of Taraba State through a broad and capable workforce. The announcement, signed by the SSG, underscores the governor’s focus on inclusive governance and effective service delivery.
