Born on September 30, 1974, in Zing, Professor Jerome Nyameh emerges from a lineage rooted in community and service, being the son of the late Pa Ferdinand Patrick Nyameh and Mama Patricia Ferdinand Patrick Nyameh. His upbringing spans Zing Local Government Area (Mumuye) and Jalingo Local Government Area (Kona), reflecting a diverse cultural heritage.
Professor Nyameh’s academic journey is marked by significant achievements. He earned his Ph.D. in Business Administration from Tarlac State University, Philippines, in 2012. Prior to this, he obtained a Master’s degree and a BSc in Management from Federal University of Technology (now Modibbo Adama University), Yola, in 2010 and 2005, respectively.
A multifaceted professional, Professor Nyameh’s career spans academia, entrepreneurship, and public service in Taraba State. He began as Assistant Chief Administrative Officer in the Office of the Head of Service (1996-2011) and transitioned seamlessly into academia as a Lecturer since 2012. His dedication and expertise led to his appointment as Professor of Entrepreneurship and Business at Taraba State University in 2022.
Throughout his tenure, Professor Nyameh has showcased exceptional leadership and management prowess. His roles include Director of Entrepreneurship Training and Consultancy Services (2015-2021), where he spearheaded initiatives like the Taraba State University Press and Entrepreneurship Services LTD. Under his stewardship, the university’s Entrepreneurship Center achieved a significant milestone with an annual turnover of N150,000,000.
Beyond local achievements, Professor Nyameh has garnered international acclaim as a fellow of the American Institution of Human Capital Development (AIHCD) and a member of the American Association of International Researchers (AAIR). His global engagements include seminars and training sessions in the UK, UAE, Malaysia, Philippines, and Ghana, underscoring his commitment to academic and entrepreneurial excellence.
Professor Nyameh’s involvement in politics, particularly with the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), reflects his dedication to community development. Although he has never held an official position within the party, his strategic contributions have been pivotal in expanding its influence across Taraba State and Nigeria.
Outside academia and politics, Professor Nyameh is a proactive entrepreneur and philanthropist. He has established ventures such as Kakulu Animal Farm and Kakulu Rice Mill, alongside the FP-Nyameh Foundation, which supports vulnerable groups with healthcare and educational initiatives.
Professor Nyameh’s legacy extends beyond professional achievements to his personal life. Married to the late Joyce Jerome Nyameh, he is a father of five children and continues to inspire through his dedication to education, entrepreneurship, and community service.
