Taraba State has inaugurated the Taraba State Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTD) Technical Advisory Committee. The ceremony, led by Commissioner of Health Dr. Bunu at Yukuben Hotel in Jalingo, aims to address and eradicate NTDs through effective, sustainable service integration, particularly in Taraba State.
The mandates of the NTD control, eradication, and elimination program within the state’s Ministry of Health include:
– Providing technical support in developing the NTD work plan.
– Enhancing partnerships in NTD efforts.
– Offering technical advice to the program.
– Facilitating resource mobilization for NTD initiatives.
– Conducting and facilitating operational research on NTD control programs through advocacy.
