On Sunday, June 16, 2024, Mama Bethsheba Sambo was honored and recognized for her dedicated service to God and her significant contributions to the church and community. She was officially invested as a special member of the Bible Society of Nigeria (BSN), Taraba Associate Area, in a ceremony held at the Redeemed People’s Mission in Magami, Jalingo. The investiture ceremony was presided over by Dr. Filister Musa, the Taraba Associate Area Chairperson, and Elder Wilson Obadiah, the Secretary of the Area.
The BSN, established nationally on February 8, 1966, is known for its work in translating, publishing, and distributing the Holy Bible in Nigeria. Beyond dissemination, the society aims to encourage Christians to engage with the Scriptures and supports these efforts through fundraising.
Special Membership in the BSN is the highest level of membership, reserved for individuals who demonstrate exceptional commitment to the organization’s mission. Mama Bethsheba Sambo, a retired nurse, nationally recognized nursing instructor, and former Deputy Coordinator of the Yangtu Special Development Area, was deemed worthy of this prestigious title.
During the investiture ceremony, Mama Ruth Pantuvo, a longstanding member of the Taraba Associate Area, joined Dr. Filister Musa and Elder Wilson Obadiah in honoring Mama Bethsheba Sambo for her outstanding service and dedication to the BSN, particularly in the Taraba Associate Area.
Mama Bethsheba expressed her gratitude for the recognition and pledged to continue serving the BSN and promoting the message of the Holy Bible with zeal and dedication.
