A cross section of youth in Taraba State, under the auspices of K-Move, has passed a vote of confidence in State Governor Agbu Kefas for his youth engagement and revolutionary ideas.

Magnum Jatau, the leader of the group, described Governor Kefas as the most youth-friendly governor in the history of the state. He highlighted the governor’s commitment to empowering youth, as evidenced by appointing a majority of his commissioners from the younger demographic.

Jatau noted that, in addition to these appointments, the governor has implemented numerous programs aimed at empowering the youth, such as providing free education and reducing tuition fees by 50% to ensure accessible quality education for all youth.

K-Move was founded to ensure that the governor’s activities receive the necessary publicity and to mobilize the people of the state to support his agenda.

“Tonight, we are gathered as youth to celebrate the landmark achievements of His Excellency Governor Agbu Kefas over the past year. This is the first time the youth in this state are doing this, and it is because this is the first time a governor has shown such a commitment to the growth of youth in our state.

“You will all agree that this is the first time a governor has appointed so many youths as Commissioners since the state’s creation. Over the past year, the governor has demonstrated his readiness to elevate the quality of our youth.

“Plans are already underway for the revival of the male and female football teams and the renovations of the Jalingo, Takum, and Gembu stadiums. This aims to boost sports activities in the state and ensure meaningful youth engagement.

“We are also aware that the governor has generously slashed the tuition fees of state-owned higher institutions by half, in addition to declaring free education for primary and secondary schools. This includes the registration of WAEC and NECO exams for students, as well as the provision of uniforms and books. This is unprecedented in our state’s history, and that is why we are celebrating his one-year anniversary in such a grand style.

“As we celebrate tonight, let us rededicate ourselves to contributing our quotas to the actualization of the governor’s Five-Finger Agenda. Let us be the kind of youth that can compete favorably on the global stage. The world is going digital, and we cannot afford to be left behind. Let us therefore undertake courses in ICT, Artificial Intelligence, and other current fields,” he said.

Our correspondent reports that youth from across the state attended the grand event in Jalingo, where indigenous artists showcased their talents in singing, comedy, dance, and other areas.
